Do I need an account?
No. The camera, the stamps, and the Photo Codes all work without one. An account only matters when you want records kept for you, or a workspace shared with a crew.
Does my photo get uploaded?
Not to verify it. We register a fingerprint and the stamp details, never the image. Originals are uploaded only for signed-in Pro (automatic backup, which you can turn off) or when you deliberately add them to a company workspace.
What happens if someone edits the photo?
The fingerprint stops matching, and anyone checking the record can see that for themselves. Cropping, filtering, resizing, or recompressing all break it — which is the point.
Can you prove exactly when the photo was taken?
We anchor the capture time and prove nothing has changed since. Our server knows with certainty when the record arrived. We do not claim more than that, because more than that would not be true.
Could someone photograph a screen and fool it?
Yes — and that is true of every camera ever made, not just this one. What we prove is that the file came from a real camera on a genuine, unmodified app, and has not been altered since. Anyone telling you their app solves this has not solved it either.
Do the people I send proof to need the app?
No. A browser is enough. No app, no account, no sign-up — which is the whole reason a Photo Code is worth anything in an argument.
What happens if I stop paying?
Your records stay verifiable. If you had originals in the vault, you get 60 days to export everything before anything is removed.
